What a bunch of crooks. Well i got the sept 3rd letter stating my account is CLOSED. They even have a special number dedicated to this letter. I have called 3 times each time getting some foreign freak who speaks very bad English. The first time i had no clue what she was saying, and screamed at her.It felt good when i finally got to someone still foreign however could be understood. He told me of a bad mark on my credit. the last bad thing was 2 years old. I have had this account 23 months. With perfect payment history. Never late. Always more then min. payment. Have paid for two cl increaes. cl limit was 4500. Yes i kept the balance at 4000. however i use this card alot and make a payment of 900 each month. he keep saying sir, and giving the reason. i kept yelling and cursing at him. i kept saying what about my perfect 23 month paying history. Then he kept saying if you keep making your payments on time you will be in good standing with us??? HUHHH???? I said so what will it show on my reports, he said closed, but repeated if you continue ot make blah blah blah. Then i said. you have Fukked me once by closing my account, now your saying if i continue to make my payments you wont FUKK me again? damn im pissed. its so sad when you have made every payment. they have made 150 bucks on me for cl inscreases. they have made over 1000 bucks of interest on me. and yet little les continues to make huge payments and they continue to rape me with interest. i still use them.. bunch of *******S.
Did you ask for a supervisor? I wouldn't waste my time on a regular rep. You might try Planet Feedback. Or, you might try getting the # to the executifve offices and calling them. But, if you do call, I suggest keeping your voice at an even keel and not cussing them out. That definitely will get you nothing.
I saw it coming after the note that they added on the last statements. They are getting rid of portfolios and they are doing it fast!!! Again for those who plan on keeping the account, I would keep it without using it. They have made if very clear that excellent payments mean NOTHING to them.
i recieved a letter a couple months sating this account would be sold? does this mean there still selling me? im alittle confused.
I got the same type of thing about my Providian Getsmart Visa and it stated if I didn't close out my account my interest rate would be increased to 24.99% from 17.99% OUCH...so I closed that piece of garbage out that only had a 1100.00 limit anyways! Those guys are crooks and I won't deal with them or Nextbank again! And that is ANOTHER story LOL
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Providian is the biggest scumbag slime bank there is, on par with merrick bank and cross country bank. I unfortunately still have an open account with them, I keep it because its a positive 3 1/2 year tradeline. I havent used it and have had a 0 balance for over 2 years, and quite frankly will never use it again no matter what the interest rate or what the credit limit is raised to.
