I have a Providian GetSmart Card with a zero balance that I have not used since June. Since, I have a zero balance I do not receive statements. Well, I logged on tonight to check my current apr. They have it listed at 3.9% until February 2003. I called Providian to see what the go to rate was and they informed me it was 16.9%. This is my worse apr but what the hey, I am not using the card and if I did I would pay it off in full each month. I was also informed that I received a $1000 CL increase. So, atleast Providian is not getting silly with my account. I might have to charge some gas and pay it off just to keep it active.
