Hey PsychDoc could you look over my post under "What to do"?

Ok, I just looked it over and have nothing to add. I just gave you my best advice yesterday, lol. At this point, spend some time reading this board in order to improve your overall understanding of FDCPA, FCRA, FCBA, etc., and be patient. Every time you send a letter, you're giving them 30 days to answer. Then there's a follow-up letter, etc., so this process does take some time. In the mean time, your goal should be to become "your own expert" by reading as much as you can here. By next year, I expect that you'll be someone who somebody else asks, "Premeno, are you there?" :D

Sorry, don't mean to be aggravating, really. I was just confused because all the links I read over had to do with "fully paid" accounts. One of my accounts is settled less than full balance. I figured I couldn't really use the same approach. But I have decided to use the son of a nutcase next.
Good news, Experian has deleted the Assoc/Citi account, wish Trans Union and Equifax would follow suit.
I do thank you for all your help. I go through periods of frustration, and feeling nothing I've done is working, then I get some good news.
    Guess I shouldn't lose faith.

Hey, congratulations! You aren't aggravating me in the least, lol. Believe me, I remember what it was like to want to tackle my own credit repair for the first time last year. It's up-and-down, sometimes frustrating, and sometimes exciting. When you first start, you have to ask a lot of questions, and the old-timers basically do three things: 1) they give good advice, 2) they tell you to read the board, and 3) they nudge you in the direction of wearing out the "search" function, lol. I'm just practicing my relatively new old-timer status. :D (Am I being grumpy enough? Hope so, lol!)

P.S. I wasn't kidding about your road to "expert" status. Given your early successes and the quality of the questions you're asking, you'll definitely be in a position to counsel others sooner than you think. Sometime next year, you and I will be arguing some finer point of some FTC opinion letter, lol, and at that point apologizing to PsychDoc about being aggravating will be the farthest thing from your mind. :D
