Hi, I am not a total newbie although I have begun again to clear up my credit, my scores are not the pits but I do have a few recent dings on my reports and was curious what approach do you think I should take, the dings are 2 seperate 30 days late on 2 accounts, the balances on these accounts is rather low, and I also have an wachovia account that was 90 days late in 7 of 99 and 60 days late in 6 of 99 and 30 days in 5 of 99. that account is closed and I fear there is little I can do with it. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

PS I have a chargeoff on my report also but I think it will stay there.

There have been 9 views anyone can help all help welcomed.

Have you done anything to date to try and get this off? Just trying to figure out where you are in the process.

Hi, MrBadFico, I like your nickname. :)

First, I would start by asking for goodwill adjustments (read the FAQ for details and links). Keep us posted how that goes down the line, and then we'll go from there!

What? A fully paid closed account with a bad tradeline??? You sound like where I was! The Nutcase Letter was written for you, sir, lol. (Again, read the FAQ and note the rationale and links to Nutcase.) Go for it!

Lots of people have used the Nutcase series for fully-paid chargeoffs, so if that account is now fully-paid, then definitely try that. Otherwise, you've got the proverbial "validation versus wake-the-sleeping-giant" dilemma. You'll want to post more about this one and solicit advice from the many people here who have successfully dealt with chargeoffs.

    Hope this helps you!

    Doc
