I just got an alert from www.creditexpert.com for a public record from CFC Financial LLC. It has dropped my score 50 points. Can anyone explain what this is to me exactly. Thank you!

Sounds like you were sued by CFC Financial LLC, and they have entered a judgment which is now showing up on your CR's

Should I have received any type of warning what so ever? I mean I have never even received a letter or a call from this company.

And why would they sue for $122.00? Seems like mroe of a waste of tiem than anything.

maybe you were sued but improperly served so they got a default judgment.

Why not get copies of the CR's that list the public records, and check the courts to see if anything is listed in your name?

PD, I am not exactly follwoign you. What are the steps you would take. Could I try to validate this debt. Then if they cannot validate the debt I could then have then take away the collection and the public record?

If they obtained a judgement, the judgement *IS* the validation.

The judgement is the court's verification that the debt exists, even if the judgement was a default judgement.

You need to find out which court it was, and go through the courts process to get the judgement thrown out.

There is also a chance that the judgement is not yours, but you need to do a lot of legwork before you dispute it.

Well I just looked up in the Wisconsin CCAP system online and there are no judgements or any tickets written to my name. Does this help my cause at all?

I did a statewide search on my name first and last and also tried to add in my birthdate and there are no results returned.

The consumer is always the last one to know ; but they prefer that he never find out.
People have been sued for less than a dollar.
Guess 122 looks like the big money to them.
