At one of our local Mazda dealerships we were looking at their cars and amidst the usual car dealer tactics they started asking all this information about us. We never told them a social security number, and told them that we did not want to have our credit looked at, that we were just "looking". Later in the day we went to another dealership, found something we liked and when they pulled our credit there was an inquiry from that darn Mazda place that we specifically told not to pull our credit and that we never gave our ss #'s to. The only thing we can think of is that they got of the ss #'s from the glove box of our old car that had all that info inside. Now I know I can disoute the inquiry, but do I have any recourse against the dealership?

    Thanks for the advice...
