Has anyone figured out if it is a soft or hard inq? I just had my last collection deleted and am dying to know my FICO score... Prior to this deletion my ELoan score was 668 and my TU FICO was 675. Since the deletion, my ELoan score is 707, so I would assume my TU FICO is in the range of 700-715. Also, I signed up to get my TU FICO when they started to offer it and they were having problems pulling the report (as some of you may remember), and I got an error message. I emailed them to complain. I re-ordered the CR a day later and was able to get my FICO score. I then rec'd an answer on my original complaint and a link to free report. I never clicked on it and they deleted the inq from pulling the second report. Anyway, the short story is that I can't tell if it is a hard or soft pull to get the TU FICO.
From what I understand anytime a consumer pulls his or hers own credit report and score it places a soft inquiry in your report only visible by you. This information is not give to businessess, lenders seeking your credit report. At least thats what I've read.
When TU started offering FICO, they added a hard inquiry. THey seem to have fixed this problem, and now it is a soft inq.
