The infamous "pulse" affair is a perfect example of how CA's operate. They use fear and intimidation in their attempts to collect debts. They do not want consumers to know about their rights. Pulse's obvious attempt to scare and disrupt the board is just par for the course. The issue of whether it is "ethical" to dispute legitimate debts(via validation or whatever) has been discussed many times in this board and I will not revisit it again but one thing is very clear. Anyone who takes the time to really research this board will realize that this board is not about evading debts, it is about enforcing your rights as guaranteed under FEDERAL law. I, for one am very grateful to the many experts who share their experiences and wisdom. I think Creditnet members who are really on board with the "ethos" of Creditnet should ignore the current onslaught of disruptive posts. As enjoyable as it is to smack them around, i think it may encourage them. It is probably best just to treat them with silence. JMO.
I agree. Imagin not knowing what your rights are; anyone that has your ss# & name can walk to you claim you own them a debt, them when you refuse to pay they send neg. info on your CR, screw up your years of hard work just like that..
