I own an airplane which uses Avgas. When I full it up, the credit card posting just says "Chevron" and the city.

Are the gasoline 5% rebate cards smart enough to know this is Avgas and not automobile gasoline, and would I qualify for the rebate with this? AOPA has a 2% rebate through their credit card (which I will never get because I burned MBNA real good in my BK), but 5% is better than 2%.

To my knowledge, credit card companies pay the 5% rebate on all gas purchases, whether it be autogas or avgas. I verified this with Discover and Chase/FirstUSA, and I assume all other gas card issuers treat avgas the same.

Our most popular gas cards are the Discover Platinum Gas, Chase Cash Plus, and the Chase PerfectCard.
