Out of curiosity, I'm polling the group with the following question:

In your experience, which CC's have the most aggressive and persistent onslaught of annoying telemarketing/mail offers?

What's the most useless, low cost/benefit ratio offer you've encountered?

Ever since I got a Chase card, it seems like I've been getting a lot of calls from telemarketers trying to "thank me for being a valued Chase cardmember" with a slew of offers for credit protection, insurance, etc. They also send a lot of mailers with the same offers.

AT&T Universal, I believe, has called several times baiting me with $200 in coupons for trying their [Un]Essentials program.

Naturally, I always tell them I'm not interested.

My roommates report I get lots of calls like this when I'm not even home.

I get lots of calls from Chase and Discover. The worst benefit I've seen was those $2.50 checks Chase sends you in the mail. If you cash them, you will automatically be charged $69.95/yr. for some benefits you don't really need.

You can call or E-MAIL any of your credit card companies and say..."I DON'T NEED ANY JUNK YOUR SELLING...I DIDN'T WANT IT WHEN YOU SENT IT IN THE BILL...WHY WOULD I TAKE IT BECAUSE I GOT A PHONE CALL??? The only reason you would need to call is if you want to lower my interest rate or increase my credit limit~~~NEVER-MIND...you can just lower the interest rate or raise the limit with-out permission"!!!
