Anyone ever heard of Doctors business bureau? Are they associated with a bigger company? I can't find any info on them nor can I find a license for them in FL.

    Anyway....

I have a collection with them that was in BK. It is still showing a balance owed but has a note: account included in BK. I have disputed it with CRA twice and it comes back "creditor verified balance as being reported correctly".

I thought that it must be reported with a zero balance???

It is my understanding that all accounts discharged in a BK7 should report a zero balance. I am pretty sure this is a violation. Write the creditor a letter and tell them to correct or you will take them to court. When I talked to my attorney, I believe he said this type of reporting also violates the BK statutes regarding the automatic stay. A BK 7 wipes out debts unless they are re-affirmed. You cannot owe or have a balance showing on a discharged debt.
