Hi, I am lookng for any information on a company -they are either a debt buyer or a collection agency - called QAR, out of New york. I have been able to find some general info on the internet, but has anyone had any actual dealings with this company?
Yes, they are a collection agency. I can't say I've dealt directly with them, but their BBB rating is an F. That speaks for itself. Go to bbb.org and do a search for QAR LLC to find additional info.
Yep. I've done the research - very little out there on the internet about them. I can't believe no one else has had any dealings with them. When they call they claim to be an "asset verification company", not a collection agency, their website also states this. If so, then they shouldn't be asking anyone to send them money!
Their website also says they are an asset recovery company, so there you go. They verify the assets, and then collect them for clients.
So if they are attempting to "collect these assets" then they should be following the Fair Credit Collecions Laws, shouldn't they?
Hi everyone. Simply making sure everyone is informed of QAR Collect (Falzone Law Office). My brother received a call from them to pay a $1k debt. They confirmed the debt so he authorized an initial $500 charge to his bank Visa. They not only took that $500 but submitted a SECOND ***UNAUTHORIZED*** CHARGE for $404! Be VERY CAREFUL about providing these people your banking information as they WILL take more than what you authorized. Good luck!
