marci, How long did they convert your regular Quantum Cards into Quantum Select Rewards Card? I logged on to the account websites and it still has my regular Quantum account number. They told me it will take up to 3 to 4 weeks. Thanks. Ron.
Ender as suggestion, I would really wait if I were you until TU is clean if you are applying for the MBNA CC. MBNA pulls both EX and TU if they are planning on approving you. I went through the same thing last year and even though my Ex report was clean, I had one thing on TU which was deleted and I explained the item to them. The LOC they definitely pull EX only but with two hits and if you want an increase on the loc they will pull TU. But for the cc it is TU AND EX. I wish you luck though Cypri
Actually, I converted a gold reserve loc into a Quantum Rewards Card. I saw my Quantum account number on my TU report a week after I converted. I got the card in the mail two weeks after I converted. I have not received my welcome package yet.
marci, Thanks for your reply. I request to convert my current Quantum Card into rewards card. I logged on the cardmember websites and it still shows my Quantum Card account number. They told me I will get a new account number and terms for rewards card. They will sent me a new card. By the way, my Quantum Card is upgraded from Garfield Paltinum Plus Card. Ron.
Just converted my Quantum card to the Rewards card today. Does anyone know if MBNA does a hard inquiry during the conversion process ? The rep asked me for the current account #, name, dob, last 4 digits of SS. Thanks to marci, ron, and others on the board for the info. about this card. I'm really excited about finally getting a mileage card with no annual fee and a grace period.
Thanks for your suggestion actually.. I will try apply for just the LOC since they pull EX only.. then will convert. Question tho, during the conversation process, do they check TU or just assume since you have an LOC that you are okay and just convert it?
Well when I converted my first loc account to my cc they pulled another report, but this time recently, I had them convert the Apple loan to my CC, they did not so I really could not tell you, but if you feel like playing safe just to get your foot in the door, I suggest going for the Loc and wait a little while and them go for it . But others maybe can answer your qn better than I did Cypri
For me: the loc - they pulled Experian twice on the same day, called me, and approved it the Plat Plus card - they pulled Experian once on the 21st and then TU once *on Feb. 1st* . They denied me. Don't know why yet... TU is my best report... I feel like GEORGE....
No inquiries for me wrt the conversion. Tele Sales told me it was automatic. That if the computer let them do it... it was done.
Steve, I looked at my TransUnion report right now. Last year they pulled hard inquiry a year ago when I upgraded to Quantum Card from Garfield Platinum Plus. I hope they will not pull hard inquiry for converting rewards card. Ron.
