They matched what my wife got for the PLATINUM PLUS VISA "INVITATION" ...and she TOTALLY AGREED that 6 years is a VERY LONG TIME FOR NO INCREASE WITH A "PERFECT" PAYMENT HISTORY!!! NO LIMIT INCREASE WITH-OUT CREDIT REPORT...I said I'm NOT taking a 7 point F.I.C.O. HIT!!! She said they can no longer WAIVE THE $30.00 FEE SO GO FOR THE MAX. LESS $500 or so DIRECT DEPOSITED INTO YOUR CHECKING!!! ...then you can pay WHO-EVER with your own checks (or EFT ON-LINE) with-out $30.00 FEE EACH BT!!! thanks for the heads up, i just called and the rep told me that my quantum qualified for a reduction. I have 10.99 now so i would assume he is talking about 8.99 % But he told me that the apartment that deals with the reduction is closed. He gave me the direct number it's 800 336 2974, and told me to call them tommorrow.
I called customer service on Friday. They transferred my call to the "right department". I said my Platinum Plus has 8.99% APR. Can I get the same rate for my Quantum? Yes sir, your rate is now 8.99% APR effective immediately. Thank you for doing business with MBNA. Have a great day.
they ask me what my lowest rate was, i said around 10%. They gave me 9.99%. I should have told them 8 percent lols.
I just called MBNA rate department to ask for the lower rate for my Quantum Reards Card. I asked to match rate with Elite Rewards Card and she checked it. She asked me that how kind of rate that I get on the other cards.She told me that she could not do it because both card has different rewards programs. After that she told me that Congradulation!!!! Your Elite Rewards has been increased from $8500 to $11000 effective immediately. I didn't asked for increase for that Elite Rewards and they give me credit increase right on the spot. I love MBNA!!!!!!! Ron.

I have a MBNA Barnes & Nobles Platinum Plus card with a 8k limit. 13.99% apr..i called yesterday to see if they would lower it for me. I told them i am getting 8.9% from one of my other cards. They would not budge. I have 8 years of perfect credit history with mbna. This Sucks. Thanks,
Re: Re: Quantum Now 8.99% For those who received 8.99% APR including myself there is a catch. With 8.99% you actually pay more than with 9.99% because it has two cycle billing method. So I switched back to 9.99% with daily average balance method.
