RE: not quite.
But after having the card for 9 months, they gave me a visa gold $500 unsecured IN addition to the secured card.
Increases if you make 0 nada zip mistakes are every 6 months. You probably go to $500 after 6 months of being perfect with them.
RE: Ques about Cap1 Secured ca
I've had their card for a little over 6 months now. I started with a secured card with a $300 limit. I called a couple weeks ago and was given a whopping $100 limit increase and told not to ask again for another 6 months.
I have gotten Capital One's secured gold card mailing a few months ago but besides the marketing word "gold" it didn't seem any better than the classic card I already had with them. If Capital One is still doing that promotion then you can probably expect an offer in the next few months. From what I hear Providian is more reasonable about giving limit increases but they have higher fees and usually no grace period.
