Has anyone else noticed that when you order your credit report offline that the account numbers on your credit reports are partially blocked out? I recently ordered a copy of my TU report and found this to be the case. My question is when disputing an inaccurate listing on your report are you required to have the full account number? and how do you get it if they block most of it out?

    Thanks

I usually will include my SS# and DOB-they should have several query methods. I do not send copies of my credit reports.

Is there a reason you do not include copies?

I don't send copies either. I figure, they know how to pull up my report since they sent it to me, they can pull it up again. And Why Help Them? Sending a copy seems like I'm making their job easier.

    Just my opinion.

Not to mention that they are the ones usually pulling ARs every time you turn around.

Don't do their job for them.
