    Hi all,

Do they report checking accounts on credit reports? I know they do if the checking account is overdrawn and charged off but do they report checking accounts that aren't overdrawn as positive open accounts?

    Thanks for all the help!!

No, they don't show up on credit reports.
They may pull credit reports on you when you apply for a checking account, and they may also pull a Chexsystems report on you. The fact that you applied for the account may INDIRECTLY influence your credit report, because if you exceed 2 inquiries for your credit report in 12 months it may cause your credit score to go down, depending on other factors in your credit situation.
Also bear in mind that the inquiry they may choose to make will go on your report, WHETHER OR NOT they allow you to open the account.

NOTE: You have the choice to WALK out the door (WITH YOUR MONEY) if they are going to "PULL" a credit report...
