    Hi,

I have an outstanding $500 debt with Bank of America. It has been sent to a collection agency, FMA Alliance.

My question is, can I contact Bank of America to settle the debt, in exchange for having the already reported debt taken off of my credit report?

    Thanks,

    Aimee

You might get luckier dealing with the collection agency to negotiate a settlement and removal of the item from your credit reports. Big name banks such as B of A, Citi, Chase, etc. are real *******s to deal with.

    B of A reported it

Is this still the case when B of A is the one who reported it to the credit agency?
