So if I dispute an item with Experian, TransUnion or Equifax and after 30 days there is no change....what do I do? Will I get a letter from them telling me what the results were? If the creditors I am disputing do not get back to the credit reporting agencies, do the credit reporting agencies take it off automatically? Or do I need to send more letters/online dispute again with Experian? Thanks in advance
You should receive a response from the CRAs within 30 days, perhaps 45 depending upon where you pulled your credit report. If they're unable to verify the accounts with your original creditors, then they'll have to remove the account in dispute from your credit reports.
