Question about DLA?

    DLA or Date of Last Activity. I have a charge-off from Cap One from 08/98. Disputed and account was verified and last updated on 09/02. When is the DLA, 98 or 02? Thanks for any help.

    DLA technically.

    It's still 98. The 02 is when it was last reported.

    TU says charge-off 08/98 but EXP says charge-off first reported 10/01. Does this give potential credit grantors the assumption that the charge-off was from 10/01 and not 08/98 as it should be? Thanks!

    Well, what happened to your score?

    It could be construed that way.

    First Reported could mean the date it was first reported to the CRA. Not the CO date.


    Off to the right of the TL do you see a section that says;

    "Scheduled to remain until xx/xx/xxxx"?

    I have no derogs so I can't tell. I hear they may have taken that out of their reports.
