Deposit>> My husband and I have a queston about earnest deposit/good faith fee. Okay..our lender (credit union) wants a good faith deposit plus appraisal fee with the application. Then they are going to refer us to a realtor. Now I learn that the sellers are entitled to a earnest money deposit. Is it unusal to pay the earnest money deposit (or good faith fee) to the lender AND the agent????? Would we only pay one fee if we went with a broker? I read a few posts about this topic on the boards but I don't see anyone mentioning that their lender also required a good faith deposit. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.
