Question about Experian reporting

Hey everyone! It's been awhile! Just have a quick question. I have an old Capital One charge-off from 08/98 that is due to fall off very soon. TU is reporting it as 'charge-off as bad debt 08/98,' exactly correct. However, Experian has it reported as 'date reported since 10/01.' I've gone through the motions and asked this to be investigated, but the date remains the same. Why is it like this? Why aren't they reporting the charge-off date? Are they then, in essence, re-aging the account? Is this a violation of some sort perhaps? Thanks for any help.

Experian isn't reporting a DOLA anymore. Call them and ask when it is scheduled to fall off. That is about the only way to find out if it has been re-aged on their reports.
