I will be 20 this month and since I've been 18 I've hard a lot of inquiries, as you can imagine. *I have had cell phones with two different companies *I have three credit cards *I have one retail card *I have a $2700 installment loan for the engagement ring *I have had two car loans In the past two years Experian shows nine hard requests and six soft (ones they do not show other creditors?). My Equifax report came in the mail and it has FORTY-TWO... 42... "Companies that Requested your Credit File" When I bought the ring I applied for a Helzberg account to get the ring and I was denied, and then I was approved at another jewelry store a week later but I notice they reported three times! June 15, June 17, June 24. The jeweler would call me and tell me he is working with an underwriter to get me approved. I didn't know they would pull my credit three times in a week. How long does it take these b*stard things to fall off? It has 42 inquiries between March 29, 2001 and September 26, 02. My EQ score is about 640 and my Experian is 686, with about 30 inquiries lacking on the Exp.
You can get duplicate inquiries easily removed, providing they are from the same company and the same date. Give EQ a call.
Now go check your report, all inq's should be gone. LOL just kidding. I think Dems' is going to explain the bumpage situation to you.
