I just got new BofA platinum after my PFB to them but they approved me for the 12.99 card, that is my highest interest rate, therefore it is in the sockdrawer. I have an MBNA worldpoints which I though would be great for a free travel rewards card, but found out that they pick the airline and are not very easy to work with as far as using your points for flights etc. I have a cap one which is my oldest card but 19.80% interest which I never even think about using. My question is, is using these cards once a year enough to keep my sockdrawer accounts open?

My card also has the 12.99 rate on purchases, but a 4% APR for life of balance on the balance transfers...also, the minimum payment is interest plus $10.00. I think I have received checks with this BT rate also, that I could use for anything.

I use the card only for balance transfers. I would not use the card for purchases for a while to see if the BT offer applies, and would call customer service to see what they have for me in that regard.

Call on the phone and ask for BETTER TERMS...

    Or PFB

SOCKDRAWER CARDS SHOULD BE USED ONE TO TWO TIMES PER YEAR...

Use it for milk, bread and eggs at the grocery store...
Or $5.00 gas for the LAWNMOWER
