Question about Reporting

    Hi! I have a question that I know some of you can help me with! I filed for bk on 10/19..i am looking at my experian report...will the accounts that were included in bk fall off my report 7 years from when it says "First reported" or 7 years from "Last reported"?? thanks

    I believe it is from "date of last activity", but I could be wrong!

    Hopefully someone who is sure will answer!!!!

    Experian is very confusing as they don't use "Date of Last Activity" like Equifax does. The creditors/collectors are required by law to report the DOLA, so they *should* be reporting it as such.

    Sometimes they use "Date opened", sometimes it's "Last reported". It's different depending on if the account is the original creditor or a collection account.

    But, in the end it's 7 years from DOLA. Last activity is the last time you made a payment. There are a couple time issues in there. Sugget you read the FCRA with respect to the 7 year clock.
