Hi, thanks to all the good advice I have received here I have contacted Sears for a goodwill adjustment, and they responded by deleting the lates on Experian ONLY. TU and EQ are still the same. TU says that the dispute has been resolved by the creditor (there was also a dispute about a past due that was incorrectly reported), but it is still reporting the lates. Same with EQ. Now what can I do? Do you think they sent the request to the bureaus and they just havent updated uet? Or should I dispute as never late, and hope they still feel like doing the goodwill adjustment? Should I call Sears and ask them to inform all 3 bureaus not just EXP? I am ready to give up! :(

I would give Sears a call and gently remind them of their promise to do a goodwill adjustment. Let them know it's still showing on your other two reports and you're wanting to know what's up. That should do it. I know you dread calling them again...it's such a hassell...but this is your credit profile. Good luck.

Had the same problem with CAP I lates. Experian deleted the late pays while TU and EQ continued reporting. I had to contact CAP I three tiimes until they finally reported adjustments to TU and EQ. It was definitely a hassle, but worth the deletions.

What is a goodwill adjustment? I have a Sears account and I have been reported as being 30 days late once. I would like to get that removed if at all possible. Is this something that you could assist me with?

    Thanks!
