Have any of you ever had any luck getting any
of the following accounts deleted from your credit reports?

    Chase
    Sears
    Any Citibank card

I understand these are the most difficult to
    get rid of.

I guess I'll be finding out shortly...

I've had no luck at all getting ANYTHING removed from EQ, and TU, but EX has given me almost everything I wanted.....

    go figure...

It's the opposite for me... No luck at all with EX, very little luck with EQ (1 gone) and very good luck with TU (9 out of 10 gone).

    I hate EX already.

Sears verifies EVERY time! Citibank has verified on all except Experian.

Will try again during CHOD to see if I get any results.

I had a Sears when I filed BK-7. They tried to reaffirm and I declined.

18 months after my BK-7, I applied for and was approved for a VA mortgage. The Sears was not even there! I never tried to get rid of them. Lucky I guess.

Best part for me now is that the BK7 is 9yrs 3 months old! :)

I had a sears card included in my chp 7 (which is gone from credit cause it's been 11 yrs). They reported it as late for the longest time (we reaffirmed part of it and paid that balance off) and then one day it was GONE...BAM not on my credit reports anymore. Can't figure that out but I'm thinking after the 7 yrs it fell off? Not sure or what. I didn't care about removing it since I knew it would come off in 7 yrs and the chp 7 wouldn't come off for 10 yrs so I just left it there.

What are you guys disputing as "not mine"?

I haven't had any luck on any of the three with any account from my ch.7. But I haven't tried the "not mine" part yet. I figured it would be too easy to verify??

I'm 1 1/2yrs post discharge. Haven't disputed in a few months or more.

Have had no luck so far disputing Chase and Bank of America (ex-Nationsbank). Have succeeded with Associates but not with Citi themselves.
I have disputed Chase as not mine with TU and it comes back verified with wrong info--apparently the risk is they just check name/ssn and ignore rest of TL. But in most cases when disputing not mine it comes back updating whole TL.
