What do you mean 6 years and 6 months. That's if you wait for it to come off. I don't think it would take that long for something to be removed if you disputed it on your own?
The law says 7 years (6 years and 6 months from the last delinquency plus 180 days.) That's the answer to the question you asked me. Now if you want to dispute it and hope it comes off sooner, I suggest you start with the stickys at the top of the board and read, read, read. =)
Re: Re: Question For Soparkdiva Nice Maybe with that attitude you should be directing your questions to Lex Law.
Re: Re: Question For Soparkdiva Laugh if you must. But 7 years is the law. I'm not saying you can't get items off sooner. Not everyobody knows this board exists. I buried my head in the sand for 7 years and then I happened upon this board with all of it's letters & great advice. Maybe if I'd gotten here sooner those items would have come off sooner. but then, again, I would be broke now from paying all my creditors back.... eww, I shudder at the thought :-x I digress, the law is for people like me who didn't know about disputing and validating. I turned out okay so I'm laughing right along with you =) *smooches*
Re: Re: Re: Question For Soparkdiva Fave Butch growling dude, I'm just home and cleaning out my inbox so forgive me for being behind, however, the response quoted above I've been noticing a lot from you in threads I'm trying to catch up on. Previously clc was admonished for doing the same (I believe that may have been PBM and not Steve) as against the TOS, has something changed or is soliciting via email and/or private responses that are of no benefit to the board now acceptable???? Either way and no matter the answer, it's not cool says me and renders threads such as this one useless and a waste of space in my in-box :-( Sassy
