I am only now trying to clean up my credit from my free-wheeling days. I appreciate any help you can give me. I currently have 10 negative accounts on my credit report, four of which are from collection agencies which I have already paid (dumb move, I know). My question is, how do I have these removed from my CR? Is there any advice you can give me and/or letters that you can refer me to to help me out? What steps should I take? Once again, thanks for your help.
There are 3 different credit reports, you need to write them and have them verify these are really yours. You can run searches for 'validation letters' there are also sample letters on this site, under the different disucssion groups. I am new here, and have learned a lot by just reading every post since I started coming here. Hope this helps a bit.
