Question how how to dispute...

    How would you dispute a Paid/collection or Paid/Chargeoff?

    Would you say wrong balance? Any advise would be helpful THANKS!!

    Just getting started on my LONG Journey :)

    If you say wrong balance you are admitting it is yours and you'd most likely never get it off. How old is this and when is the 7 year reporting period up, if you know?

    They are from 1997-1998 mostly and will come off in 2004 but thought I would give it a try now to clear it up a bit.

    If I was in this situation, I would dispute them as not mine. The ca/oc may not even bother to verify as it has been paid and is so old.
