I'f i'm pre approved for a card will they still pull a hard inquiry if i accept....also this is for Chase plat and i already have their gold...could i combine the limits into one card...
"PRE-APPROVED" TO APPLY...I haven't seen many cards that don't "PULL"... I tried...they are VERY strict on combining... VISA~VISA or M/C~M/C HUSBAND & WIFE can combine their cards IF [color] the names are in the same order... MARY SMITH FRED SMITH IF SECOND CARD IS... MARY SMITH FRED SMITH THEY CAN BE COMBINED...(IF THE SCEOND CARD IS FRED SMITH/MARY SMITH...IT CAN'T BE COMBINED... I TRIED TO COMBINE MY WAL*MART M/C WITH MY VISA...THEY REFUSED...
Yes, they will pull a hard inquiry for a pre-approval. I had a guaranteed approval, and still had an inq. pulled.
Right, pre-approval doesn't mean what it implies. You can get turned down. Just ask George. Don't believe everything you read when it comes to this stuff.
Yes they do a hard inquire if you would respond to their offer.I got one of these pre-approved offers from chase for their platinum visa last august of 2001,and i got approved for $8200.00 limit,i also have a 15K limit on a chase platinum mastercard.I don't know what their main credit criteria is but just make sure you have got very good credit before applying for this offer.Chase is a good bank to do business with.
