Hi everyone... I just found out that a certain creditor (original creditor) has been re-aging a debt that I owe. Am I mistaken, or isn't this illegal? I have a copy of a credit report from a year ago which shows a different historical date. The date on my file now is 2/02. The account became delinquent in 1998. In addition, they have employed numerous CA to collect on the debt and they all show up on my report..... the funny thing is, I am paying it off monthly thru a CA that isn't even listed. What kind of recourse do I have? I have sent letters to all 3 CRA to have them remove the "duplicate" listings and all they say is they have verified the debt, etc. Any help would be appreciated!

Yes that is re-aging. Send an OC validation letter. Demand they show proof of their reported listing.
