I have a CCB chargeoff on all three reports. Validated with first CA (NCO) received nothing, but within the 30 day period I did receive New collection letter from a new collector re same acct. Validated with them. They partially validated and said they have requestd further info from CCB and should get it shortly. 3 weeks later, I have not heard from them with any further info. 30 days is just about up for them, do I send a second letter requesting full accounting of how $3000 figure is arrived at (acct was a little more than $1,000, the rest is all their usurious charges!); OR Just do nothing about it and wait until they get in touch with me again either with further info or to dun me, at which time they would be in violation. Also, I do not see the Collector on my credit report yet, but should the CCR Chargeoff that shows on all 3 reports not show disputed, since I validated, or is that only when the CA is already on the report???? Thanks so much for any help.
When you ask a CA to validate, the only TL that is supposed to be noted as disputed is the CA's TL, if they reporting one.
