Here I am, always used DH credit when applying for anything in the past, so all auto loans . cc on his reports. I hardly had anything, few AUs , 2 CCs, little things. Now, I disputed AUs w/ all CRAs, deleted, old med bill, deleted. All I am left w/ now is : EQ: Capital 1 - neg has been in dispute-limit $300, amount due $1200, might have gotten this way back, but I always paid cash for my stuff, and w/ their int rates... Gas card - neg has been in dispute- limit $180,amount due $199- never had this card and definitely never used it..... 1 CA - neg shows in dispute, never disputed, getting ready to, a cable bill, for a company I never had service w/ EX: Cap 1- neg Same as above Gas card- neg "' "" "" Old store card- pos paid old student loan - pos paid our 1st car- pos paid TU: See EQ Now if for some strange reason those 3 negs go away, I'm going to right back in the same boat I was 15 yrs ago when I never used CCs and have weak credit again, not that I won't rather have weak opposed to bad. But, I guess what I want to ask is this: right now according to PG, my score is 649(??) I'm going to ck EQ. Should I try the databases and see who pulls what and try and get a store card or something, because if these do come off my score will drop rapidly, won't it? I also think I might ask (gulp) mom who has had excellent credit for a thousand years to add me as AU on 1 or 2 OLD cards of hers. Right now I'm in much better shape than DH, (he's POd about that) according to PG he's 590 ( cking EQ today), he started at 530 so I won't complain if I were him about all the time I spend online here. Weak is better than bad. With a 649 you should be able to get things like Target, JC Penney, etc. Having a good AU is helpful too.
Well pulled PG today and CAP 1 is gone, dropped down to 599. I guess I should have ran to the store yesterday and applied for SOMETHING.... Oh well,
keep in mind that PG is not 100% accurate and sometimes there is a delay. I have a judgement that sometimes PG uses as a negative reason for my score and sometimes it will say no public records found.
