    Found this on my report today:
    09/04/2002 EU-Credit Technologies, Inc.

    What type of inquiry is EU? Their explanation at the bottom of the report doesn't list this code.

    EU means real estate? When the local car dealer was checking my score to see if they could get me approved, they pulled an EU. I didn't buy an SUV so the vehicle isn't as big as a house!

    EU must mean SOFT...(I GUESS)

    AR/PRM/AM are SOFT and are noted...WHY THEY HAVE TO HAVE AN "EU" I DON'T KNOW...

    I had---->EU-Facutal Data (mortgage related)

    I checked my Experian report which gives a bit more info. The inquiry was for Real Estate; I'm in the process of closing my mortgage and my broker checked with a different investor to get me a lower rate.

    they have ID too, that's not listed on the bottom. The only ID I had was checkfree, so I thought it was a hard. But, all of a sudden I have quite a few ID-Equifax's on my report, so it must be soft. Don't know what it means though
