Question to those who have or have had the shell card. I was recently approved and was wondering if this card will be reporting as Shell or as Citi ? Also has anyone had their card converted to the mastecard ? If so how old was the account when that happened ?
I had one, but I closed it after a year. After Citi took over The Associates, the card reported as Citi - Shell. While Citibank does the Shell MasterCard now, it used to be a Chase product so it wasn't ever possible to convert. I don't think Citi has offered both cards long enough for anyone to know if it will ever be possible now.
Eric, I have Shell Credit Card for over 2 yrs and I hardly used the card because there was not too many Shell Station last 2 yrs. They started to report to all credit bureaus monthly as Citi/Shell and they do report the limit of the card. They report the account as revolving. By the way, I didnn't wait for them to convert my Shell Credit Card into Mastercard. I applied for one and they reduced CL one of my Citi Cards to open Shell Platinum Select Mastercard. Ron.
