I read on this site that after 7 years, derogatory information will drop from a credit report. Someone in one of the forums said that 7 years begins with the date of first deliquency. When an account has been sent to a CA..does that start the process all over? Some of mine have moved to multiple CA's.....and I am having difficulty with who is where and when the start date toward the SOL actually began. How can I find out this information? Does speaking with the CA start the process over?

    Welcome to Creditnet!

The DOFD should never change, regardless of who buys or sells a debt. The CRAs are required to keep the DOFD on file, so if you can't find it on your credit reports than you can request it directly from the CRAs.
