Several years ago I really screwed myself over and wrote several NSF checks. A few have gone to court and I have judgments against me for them. Here in Kansas they can charge an extra $500 if they get a judgment. I was paying an attorney who represents the place I wrote the check. I then lost my job and was unable to make any payments. They sent a letter (through the sheriff via USPS) a month ago that I need to appear in court (tomorrow!) to provide proof of income, etc or a bench warrant will be issued. I called the attorney's office and a rep. said that I would have to fill out a "Debtor Information Sheet" and get it back to them by tomorrow, notarized.

I assume I have to do this since it is a judgment but I just wanted to make sure before I fax the info. to the rep. Didn't know what if any rights I have since they do the mini-miranda, etc.

You best bet is to answer the info. If you don't have any money it's no big deal. The lawyer wants proof that you can't pay.
