I know that many people have had their interest rates lowered on their cards when they put in a request. Has it been the experience of those of you who have done so that a hard inquiry has been posted to your credit report? OR is the yes-no determination made based upon the card provider's internal record of its relationship with you? Whether you were declined or approved isn't important....just if you got hit with a hard inquiry for your effort. Thanks
RE: Question: reports pulled f I think I was hit w/ a hard inquiry from Citibank when I requested that my APR be lowered. Basically what happened is that I called and put in the request, they lowered it and then days later they pulled a CR. Then they found negative info on there (ie judgment, paid collections) and raised it back up! So I went from 21.4% to 17.4% to 19.4% all in like 2 seconds! :-
