Real quick question - So far, I have had two collection agencies that cannot validate. I asked them to contact the CRA's and have the accounts deleted if they could not validate. Should I send copies of the letters that they sent me to the CRA's? Will the CRA's accept my proof or do they have to be contacted by the collection agencies? Thanks.
Send copies of the letters to the cra's. The FCRA says they must "take into consideration" any proof that the consumer submits. I would use the letter I wrote to the cra that pbm posted in the letter section. Just modify it for your particular problem. They most likely will contact the ca's and they may even start another dispute, but they should come off.
