I just recieved all 3 copies of my CR and none of them have scores on them. Does this mean I have to subscribe to a fee-based service to get them? Also on one of my reports, Capitol One shows that I lost/stolen cards twice. Does this effect my score negatively? I'm just trying to figure all this stuff out. Thanks for any help in advance. Raine
Go to myfico.com, they have reports with scores there. You probably only purchased the reports, w/o the scores. Generally, losing your credit card won't hurt you. If it does, it'll be miniscule b/c it 'll make it look like you have a lot of revolving accts. (but even then that's a small thing).
Thanks for your fast response. So don't have the CRA remove the lost/stolen card TL? BTW, the OC for those tradelines doesn't even have another entry about the acct. I did have with them weird.. just the lost/stolen stuff. Also, I noticed on my EXP CR that a dept. store has no negative info but says the account was closed by grantor. How does this effect my score. This account was actually included in a BK. This store only reported to EXP. Thanks.
I have the same notation on one account. The account shows "paid as agreed" and "closed by credit grantor". When this tradeline reported for the first time, each of my scores increased by about 20 points. Why? The account is 17 years old and the average age of my accounts is just over 2. In my experiences with my own accounts and those of several folks I've helped with their credit repair, "closed by grantor" in itself is not a negative with respect to the SCORE. It might, however, have to be explained to a credit analyst who was doing a manual review. I'm not disputing mine in any way at all because I don't want to run the risk of the tradeline being deleted and losing my oldest account. Hope this helps. DemPooches
"CLOSED BY CREDIT GRANTOR" is NOT negative as scoring goes (WHEN IT IS "PAID AS AGREED")...BUT if somebody looks at your report with their eyes...THEY MAY SEE IT AS A NEGATIVE!!! (their opinion)
