Are they allowed to just cast our inquiry disputes aside? It seems I got the same "take it up with the company that requested your file" letter that everyone else gets. HOW CAN I TAKE IT UP WITH THE ORIGINAL COMPANY IF I NEVER APPLIED FOR ANYTHING WITH THEM?????? That's why I'm DISPUTING it, knucklebucket!!! Question #2...Are all inquiries pulled from Equifax hard inquiries? On the reports they just group them all together on one list nder the heading Companies That Requested Your Credit File. If this is the case, I have 20 hard inquiries...AND EQUIFAX PULLED 13 OF THEM. Anyone have any answers?
Per FCRA, their refusal to investigate inquiry-related disputes, constitutes "WILLFUL noncompliance". You'd always win if you sue. If you don't, all you'd normally get is a lame Glenn King form letter insulting your intelligence. The two reasons they are reluctant to change their policy are: 1. FTC doesn't do a damn thing about it; and 2. No class action suit has ever tried to put a stop to it. Saar
EQUIFAX CAN'T "pull" hard. Look for the codes... If it says one name like CITIBANK~~~that's a "HARD" If it says CHASE PRM~~~"SOFT" AMEX AR~~~"SOFT"
