A friend of mine just applied on Friday for the Amex Gold card, 714 score no Derogs. They were approved on the spot Anyway today they applied for Business Gold with two AUs and the rep said they need more info. Okay so now 2 hours later they get an email from Amex asking them to call, they checked the status of the application online and it said In Progress What they want to know is what does Amex need from then and what should they do to assist in getting the approval for the business card. Thanks
Normally they just need to verify information (address, business information, etc). They may have pulled a different report that doesn't coincide with the information they put on the application.
