When you apply and it asks if you want an additional card for someone else, will that person become an AU. If anyone's done this will it show up on their report? THANKS!

My fiance is AU on my Citibank USA card. It doesn't report for him.

Don't know for sure about Citibank SD

Yes, they report the account and credit limit to the authorized users.

Citibank NA (issuer of the famous BDD AA cards) does report for AU's.

I put each of my parents on my cards to enable them to get more positive credit and it reports just like mine, except it says authorized user.

No clue yet if this will help them get other credit. We are all waiting until Citi finally updates!!

    The other-
I think if you live in the same house and share the same last name it will report. That's what an EXP rep once told me.
How long before it will show up on the AU's file after the card was opened? As soon as it starts reporting on the primarys report?

    Thanks again!
