I'm looking to get a card in a hurry--within the next week. Most credit cards take at the very least 10 days to receive. Does anyone know of a card that can be delivered within a few days after being approved?

I think? Citibank's AAdvantage card you can get an instant approval for and they will give you your account number and expiration date to start using asap. I could be wrong? Someone correct me if so....

Actually takes about 7-10 business days to get this card once you get the instant approval.

I believe capitalone KMART card will give you a credit card # on the screen instantly too.

I'd be really surprised if a credit card issuer would give out an expiration date. Because the expiration date is used as an anti-fraud measure (the only place it appears is on the card itself) reps are instructed never to reveal it.

A new code is also in use that online and phone merchants will sometimes ask for called the CVV2 code. It's that group of 3-4 numbers after your account number on the signature panel on the back of your card. This is another way to prove that the person trying to make the charge actually has the card in his/her possession.

I know if you call American Express and request RUSH service. They can approve you over the phone and if you are approved, they can express your card to you and you can have it within 2 business days.

I did this when I was first approved for their green card. I was quite impressed!

That's true. My Amex Opt Plat came here through Airborne Express, but you have to call Amex and specificly ask for it.
