My husband and I have several joint accounts. I was able to get some of the lates removed from his reports. However, the creditor is still reporting the old information(negative) on two of the joint accts on my report. If I dispute it and it comes back verified, will they go back and change his report too? I'm just worried because he is going to apply for a VA loan in his name only soon and I don't want to mess up his scores. Maybe I should wait until we have purchased the home to dispute those on my report??? Thanks in advance for any help...

They shouldn't put it back on his report too. Just because the accounts are joint, doesn't mean your files are.

I think that's right, Someone else?
