I disputed an old cellular charge off from 97 and experian verified but transunion deleted it, what gives. should i send experian a process letter as to how they verified it??? spose i cant show the transunion deletion to experian and ask what gives??
What gives, no one knows for sure ... lots of speculations ... but bottom line, it happens all the time. Sending a procedural request is a good idea. Some people recently have gotten success sending the results of one CRA's investigation to another CRA to demand they update the account as well. If you do, make certain you White-Out ALL data not pertaining to the account in question, and all information that they don't already have about that account. You would not want to send any unnecessary information about the layout of the henhouse to the foxes den. Me, I would immediately send another dispute. Odds are more in your favor that the account will be deleted with a dispute in process, than without one in process. In the meantime, I would be validating with the CA and sending the procedural request letters as well. Don't get discouraged, look at it from the "glass half full" scenario, at least you got one CRA to delete the account and correct your report. The rest will get the picture eventually. Keep chipping away. Good luck. -Peace, Dave
