Hello! I sent the paid collection nutcase letter, notorized and everything, to IC System (CA)...my question is; do I need to let the CRA's know that I did this, so that if the CA does not respond in 30 days from receipt, this will be deleted from my CR? Thanks!
No you do not need to let the cra's know anything you do. After they have had their 30 days if there is no response you can dispute with the cra's and see what happens. However, the nutcase letter is simply intended to plant the seed in the min of the reader that you are in fact a litigious nutcase who is about to become a huge pain in their a**. Their is no guarantee (as with anything) of the results and unlike a validation letter this will not really further your cause if you send it to the cra's as proof. The question will only be proof of what. It's not proof that they couldn't verify because it's not a validation letter. So I would wait the thirty days, see what happens and then dispute with the CRA's. If it does not come off then I would follow up with the son of the nutcase or whatever comes next in the series.
