If you dispute items on your credit report do they temporarily not show up as negatives while they are being investigated?

It used to be the disputed accounts still showed, but were not factored in to the credit score. That has changed now.

    star,
In my last few disputes with equifax, it seemed like all of my tradelines were temporarily deleted. It was almost like they wiped it clean until all of my creditors reported again. It didn't happen every time I disputed, just the last few times.
It was kind of weird. Not sure if it was a normal scenario. If you have daily monitoring, you could keep an eye on your scores and see if it happens in your case.
Or maybe it was just some weird anomaly!
