I was wondering if anyone has had any luck validating with Radio Shack? I have an account opened in 12/95 and it is scheduled to fall off in 2/03. The account has been charged off for $170. I disputed with Experian and it came back verified. I am now tring to figure out my next step. Is it worth sending a validation letter or does Radio Shack normally validate? Should I try to offer like a $50 payment for deletion instead? Thanks.... Dan

citibank usa holds all the rat shack credit cards now. Citibank is probably one of the worst people to have bad debt with..
They aren't. This is just something to try. No guarantees. You asked what you could do. Other than trying this, you could just send them a letter and let them know you are trying to straighten things out and would like their cooperation in providing all the documentation you need in order to reach a resolution.
